The Australian Energy Regulator’s (AER) Values of Customer Reliability (VCR) review is nearing completion, with VCR values scheduled to be published in December 2019. We have now rescheduled our public forum in Melbourne to 18 December 2019. The public forum will coincide with the publication of VCR values.
The VCR is a critical input across a range of electricity reliability and network planning processes. VCR values will be calculated in accordance with the AER’s final methodology for the VCR review using over 9 000 residential and business customer responses to the AER’s surveys.
The AER’s VCR review has incorporated an extensive consultation process that has included wide engagement with governments, energy regulators, customer and industry representatives and the public, as well as expert consultants. We thank stakeholders for their contributions to the VCR review.
We invite stakeholders with an interest in VCR to attend our upcoming public forum in Melbourne.
Stakeholder forum
The purpose of the public forum is to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to understand and discuss the VCR values that will shortly be published by the AER and the methodology that was used to calculate them.
