On 17 March 2010, Powerlink submitted a proposal for the early application of the market impact component of the electricity transmission service target performance incentive scheme (7 March 2008) (the scheme).
The market impact component of the scheme aims to provide incentives to transmission network service providers to minimise the number and duration of network outages which affect price outcomes in the electricity spot market. Powerlink seeks have the scheme apply from 13 July 2010.
