On 31 July 2012, SP AusNet submitted a cost pass-through application pursuant to clause 6.6.1(a) of the NER, seeking to pass through a positive pass-through amount arising as a result of Energy Safe Victoria's (ESV) approval of SP AusNet's Electricity Safety Management Scheme (ESMS). The ESV directions relate to the change in the compliance framework in response to the Victorian Bushfire Royal Commission (VBRC) recommendations.

Invitation for submissions

The AER invites submissions from stakeholders on SP AusNet's cost pass through application. Please e-mail your submission to Spausnet [dot] resetataer [dot] gov [dot] au (Spausnet[dot]reset[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) and include "Submission - SP AusNet VBRC Pass-through application July 2012" in the e-mail heading.

Interested parties are invited to provide written submissions to the AER not later than close of business 23 August 2012.

The AER prefers that all submissions be sent in an electronic format in Microsoft Word or other text readable document form and publicly available, to facilitate an informed, transparent and robust consultation process. Accordingly, submissions will be treated as public documents and posted on the AER's website, except and unless prior arrangements are made with the AER to treat the submission, or portions of it, as confidential. Parties wishing to submit confidential information are requested to:

  • clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim; and
  • provide a non-confidential version of the submission
