The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) is currently reviewing its Retail Pricing Information Guidelines (Guidelines).
On 15 April 2015, the AER published a revised draft Guidelines and an accompanying Notice of Draft Instrument for public consultation. Submissions closed on 24 May 2015.
We received 19 submissions and these were generally supportive of the goals of clarity and consistency of language that the revised Guidelines proposed to achieve.
We have given consideration to issues raised throughout the consultation process. To inform our finalisation of the Guidelines, we are inviting feedback from interested parties about three further amendments that we are proposing. We have published a document that discusses those amendments. The proposed amendments should be read in conjunction with the draft Guidelines and Notice.

Due to the extension in our consultation, we now anticipate the final instrument to be released on or before 1 October 2015, to come into effect 1 January 2016.
