The AER has today published a position paper on its approach to Retail Market Performance Reporting under the proposed National Energy Retail Law. The paper includes the AER's updated proposals on Hardship Program Indicators which have been consulted on separately to date. The paper is available at the AER's website.
The position paper is the second stage of consultation on Retail Market Performance Reporting and Hardship Program Indicators, and sets out the AER's preferred positions on a range of indicators. Responses to the position paper will assist the AER in finalising its approach to retailer/distributor performance monitoring under the new National Energy Customer Framework.
The AER invites written submissions on the position paper by 24 December 2010. Submissions should be sent to AERInquiryaer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERInquiry[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au). The subject of the email should state "Submission on Performance Reporting - attention Angela Bourke".
The AER will hold a stakeholder forum on Friday 26 November 2010 from 9.30am to 12:30pm (EDT) to discuss the position paper. AER staff will be located in Melbourne for this forum, but there will be video conference links to all capital cities in participating jurisdictions. To register your participation at the forum, please send an email to AERInquiryaer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERInquiry[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) by Friday 19 November 2010, indicating the city in which you will attend. The subject of the email should state "Registration for Performance Reporting Forum - attention Lynley Jorgensen". Registration for the forum is essential as spaces are limited. Stakeholders are asked to nominate no more than one participant each.
