Only two weeks left until the Gill Owen Memorial Lecture! Register to get your ticket.

The lecture – Beyond window dressing – will focus on putting customer, future consumer and wider stakeholder interests at the heart of company and regulatory decision making from a UK energy market perspective.

Ms Sharon Darcy, Director of Sustainability First in the U.K, will deliver the keynote address. Sharon is a champion of consumer concerns in energy and water. Sharon was elected to the Council of Which? in January 2015 and was formerly a long-standing board member of Consumer Futures and its predecessor bodies (Consumer Focus and energywatch). She is also a member of the UK Regulators Network Expert Panel and Ofgem's Consumer Progress Panel.

The event will be held at 3.30pm on 7 February 2018 at the State Library Victoria. It will commemorate Dr Gill Owen and her contribution in helping the AER improve consumer participation in its decisions around setting network revenues.

Dr Owen was instrumental in helping the AER establish its Consumer Challenge Panel and was a founding member. She was also involved in many other projects focussing on sustainability and vulnerable consumers.

The winners of the Gill Owen Essay Prize will also be announced at this event.
