The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has today released a consultation paper seeking feedback on a proposed pathway to the Rate of Return Instrument 2022.
In developing this consultation paper, the AER has considered stakeholder feedback from the Rate of Return Instrument 2018 process. In particular, following the completion of the 2018 process the AER engaged the Brattle Group to seek feedback from stakeholders as part of our commitment to ongoing improvement. This report has helped us identify which parts of the 2018 process worked and which required further refinement and has informed this consultation paper.
We thank stakeholders for participating in the 2018 process and giving their valuable time to provide feedback to the Brattle Group.
Invitation for submissions
We invite stakeholder feedback on the proposals made in the consultation paper. Submissions are requested by close of business on Friday 13 December 2019 and should be emailed to RateOfReturn
