The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has released its proposed amendments to the demand management and embedded generation connection incentive scheme (DMEGCIS) to apply to ActewAGL Distribution (ActewAGL) for the period, 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2019. The AER has also released an explanatory statement which sets out the reasons for the proposed amendments to and the application of the scheme with consideration of the National Electricity Rules.
The AER’s proposed DMEGCIS and the explanatory statement have been published on the AER’s website at www.aer.gov.au.
Interested parties are invited to provide written submissions on the AER’s proposed DMEGCIS and the explanatory statement by the close of business, 1 August 2012.

The AER may, but need not, consider a submission it receives after the consultation period has ended.
The AER prefers that all submissions be publicly available to facilitate an informed and transparent consultative process. Submissions will be treated as public documents unless otherwise requested. Parties wishing to submit confidential information are requested to:
- clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim
- provide a non-confidential version of the submission.
All non-confidential submissions will be placed on the AER's website.
