On 21 January 2016, the Australian Energy Regulator appointed Nous Group to conduct an independent review of the Consumer Challenge Panel. The review will be led by Claire Noone, a Principal at Nous Group.

The review process will begin with a stakeholder questionnaire. As an important stakeholder, we would welcome your feedback on the CCP's performance to give us an indication of what we are doing well and where we need to make improvements to the way the CCP and AER operate.

The questionnaire will be available from 8 - 19 Feb 2016. If you are interested in participating in this questionnaire, please register by emailing Mark Schultz from Nous Group on mark [dot] schultzatnousgroup [dot] com [dot] au (mark[dot]schultz[at]nousgroup[dot]com[dot]au) or Leanne Keogh from AER on Leanne [dot] keoghataer [dot] gov [dot] au (Leanne[dot]keogh[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au).

It should be noted that the questionnaire is anonymous. Individual responses will remain confidential and will not be released under any circumstances in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth).

If you have any queries about the questionnaire, please contact Mark Schultz from Nous Group on (03) 8638 4114 or via email.

I hope you will be able to participate and thank you for your input into this valuable questionnaire.

Background

The establishment of the CCP was a key component of the Council of Australian Governments' energy reform agenda agreed to on 7 December 2012. It was implemented as a part of our Better Regulation reform program, which aimed to deliver an improved regulatory framework focused on the long term interests of consumers.
