On 24 August 2016, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) published a further consultation letter seeking stakeholder views to inform its review of the Minimum Disconnection Amount. Initial submissions closed on 20 June 2016.
Invitation for submissions
In light of the issues raised in initial submissions, we would like to engage more on the appropriate level for the minimum disconnection amount. We invite submissions from interested parties by Monday 3 October 2016. Submissions should be sent electronically to: AERInquiryaer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERInquiry[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) and should be in Microsoft Word or another text readable document format.

Stakeholder forum
We invite interested stakeholders to attend a forum on Thursday 22 September 2016 to discuss the issues raised by initial submissions and to seek stakeholder views about the appropriate level – if any – to which we should raise the minimum disconnection amount. The forum is from 10.00am to 11.30am (AEST) and will be held via VCU in our Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane offices.
