The AER is required under Chapter 6 of the National Electricity Rules to make distribution determinations for the Queensland electricity distributors, Energex and Ergon Energy. The determinations impose controls over the revenues that each business may recover over the period 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2015. The AER made its draft determinations for the Queensland electricity distributors on 30 November 2009.
On 14 January 2010, the Queensland electricity distributors each submitted a revised regulatory proposal together with supporting information to the AER.
A timetable for the completion of the determination process is set out below:

Submissions on draft determinations and revised regulatory proposals close | 16 February 2010 |
AER final decision and determinations released | 30 April 2010 |
