The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has released its draft decision on the Directlink Joint Venturers' application for conversion to a prescribed service and a maximum allowed revenue.
The draft decision determines that Directlink should be considered as a ‘prescribed service’ and sets a maximum allowed revenue for that service.
Attached are the draft decision and IES's report on the additional modelling of inter-regional market benefits. A copy of the Directlink Joint Venturers' application is available from the AER's website, www.aer.gov.au.
Interested parties are invited to make written submissions to the AER on the draft decision and the IES report by Friday 9 December 2005. The AER prefers that all submissions be publicly available, to facilitate an informed and transparent consultation process.
Submissions can be sent electronically to aerinquiryaer [dot] gov [dot] au (aerinquiry[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au). Alternatively, submissions can be mailed to:
Mr Warwick Anderson
A/g General Manager – Access Branch

The AER will make its final decision once it has considered the issues raised in submissions.
