On 10 December 2012 the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) released its issues paper for consultation on the Better Regulation reform program in 2013.
Today the AER has released an information paper on the demand management and embedded generation connection incentive scheme (DMEGCIS) as part of the Better Regulation reform program 2013.
This information paper discusses our proposed approach to applying a demand management incentive scheme to ACT and NSW DNSPs as part of the next distribution determination process. It also outlines our proposed approach for consulting on matters relevant to the form of any new DMEGICS and other issues which fall within the Power of Choice work stream. If interested stakeholders wish to provide written feedback on the information paper, it can be emailed to the AER via either DemandManagementaer [dot] gov [dot] au (DemandManagement[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) or NSWACTelectricityaer [dot] gov [dot] au (NSWACTelectricity[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au).
Power of Choice stakeholder forum
The AER will host a stakeholder forum on Friday 12 April 2013 on the information paper. Details of the forum will be notified in due course to those that have registered an interest in the Power of Choice implementation work stream.
Those wishing to register are encouraged to do so by sending their details to DemandManagementaer [dot] gov [dot] au (DemandManagement[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) or NSWACTelectricityaer [dot] gov [dot] au (NSWACTelectricity[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au).
