On 14 February 2014, APT Petroleum Pipelines Limited, operator of the Roma to Brisbane Pipeline, applied to the AER for a negative carbon cost pass through. On 9 May 2014, the AER approved the application for the pass through of $427,391 which will result in lower reference tariffs from 1 July 2014.
