The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has today published performance data for electricity transmission businesses.
The data reflects the key components of the AER’s regulatory determinations for these businesses as well as other performance metrics.
The following data has been published:
- Revenue
- Regulatory Asset Base
- Capital and operating expenditure
- Service performance data (reliability and market impact)
- Maximum demand
- Energy delivered
- Circuit length.
The data covers the period from 2006 to 2017 and will be updated annually.
The publication of the performance data will assist electricity consumers and other stakeholders by providing access to a range of information for transmission businesses from a single file.
Having access to this data should allow stakeholders to better engage with our regulatory processes. It can be used to assess National Electricity Market wide trends, compare the performance of transmission businesses with each other, or assess the performance of an individual business.
The AER is developing similar performance data for electricity distributors, which we will also publish.
