The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) today published a negotiated transmission service criteria (NTSC) for the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO). As part of its functions, AEMO is a Victorian electricity transmission network service provider. The NTSC are the criteria AEMO must apply when negotiating terms, conditions and prices for negotiated transmission services. It will also be used by an arbitrator in resolving any access dispute about any of the terms and conditions of access.

The AER must make a decision on the NTSC as part of the AEMO 2022–27 transmission determination.

Submissions

We invite energy consumers and other interested parties to make submissions on the Negotiated Transmission Service Criteria for AEMO by Thursday, 7 October 2021.

We request parties wishing to submit confidential information:

  • clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim
  • provide a non-confidential version of the submission in a form suitable for publication.
