On 19 April 2021, the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), submitted its proposed pricing methodology to the AER. The proposal sets out how AEMO, as part of its functions, proposes to set transmission charges in Victoria over the five-year 2022-27 regulatory control period from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2027.

Invitation for submissions

The AER invites interested stakeholders to make a submission on AEMO's 2022-27 proposed pricing methodology by the close of business on 27 July 2021.

We prefer that all submissions be publicly available to facilitate an informed and transparent consultative process. We will treat submissions as public documents unless otherwise requested. All non-confidential submissions will be placed on the AER's website. For further information regarding the AER's use and disclosure of information provided to it, see the ACCC/AER Information Policy.

We request parties wishing to submit confidential information:

  • clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim
  • provide a non-confidential version of the submission in a form suitable for publication.

Public forum

To assist stakeholders in their consideration of AEMO's 2022-27 proposed pricing methodology, we will publish an issues paper on 15 June ;and hold an online public forum on 29 June, prior to the close of the submission period on 27 July. We will notify stakeholders of the release of the issues paper and public forum details in due course.
