The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has received an application from Moranbah North Coal Mine requesting that the AER not classify its distribution service under clause 6.2.1(a) of the National Electricity Rules (NER).
The AER has prepared a draft decision on the application made by Moranbah North Coal Mine NSP. The AER’s draft decision is not to classify the distribution service provided by Moranbah North Coal Mine NSP and consequently the distribution service will not be regulated under chapter 6 of the NER.

Invitation for submissions
Interested parties are invited to provide written submissions on the AER's draft decision, by close of business Friday, 22 August 2008.
