On 14 November 2013 the Australian Energy Regulator’s Customer Consultative Group (CCG) met in Melbourne for the third time this year.
The AER Chair, Mr. Andrew Reeves, discussed our work program in 2013, our priorities for 2014, the lessons learned from the Consumer Reference Group consultation process and how we will use this knowledge to improve its consumer engagement.
The meeting also covered a broad range of topics relevant to energy customers. These included:
- our approach to alternative energy sellers
- our rule change proposal for generator ramp rates, and
- the implementation of the Consumer Challenge Panel.
This meeting follows on from the second CCG meeting held in Melbourne on 15 August 2013. At that meeting, Mr Reeves, outlined our work in retail markets, including performance reporting, and the Better regulation program.
Background
