On 11 October the AER released its draft Connection charge guideline (Guideline) for electricity customers and accompanying explanatory note seeking stakeholder comment in light of changes made to the National Electricity Rules in August 2021. The changes to the Rules require the AER to describe the circumstances (or how to determine the circumstances) under which a distributor may offer a static zero limit to a micro embedded generator seeking to connect to the network.
