Today the AER released its draft decision on the proposal to make an Annual Compliance Order (ACO) as a general regulatory information order under section 48(1)(b) of the National Gas Law (NGL). The ACO will be used to obtain information and documentation from pipeline service providers to ascertain compliance with their general and specific duties.
We are seeking feedback on changes made to the draft ACO and response template following the consultation on the first drafts of these documents. An explanatory note outlines our proposed changes and reasoning.
Interested parties are invited to make written submissions to the AER regarding this proposal by close of business, 9 May 2024.
The AER prefers that all submissions be in an electronic format and publicly available. Submissions will be treated as public documents unless otherwise requested. All non-confidential submissions will be placed on the AER’s website. Submissions can be sent electronically to AERGasNetworksComplianceaer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERGasNetworksCompliance[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au).
