The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has received revenue proposals from TransGrid and Murraylink.
TransGrid’s proposal is for its NSW electricity transmission network for the five year period commencing on 1 July 2018. The proposal sets out the revenue TransGrid proposes to collect from NSW electricity consumers through transmission charges from 2018 to 2023.
Murraylink’s proposal is for its interconnector between the Victorian and South Australian networks. The proposal sets out the revenue Murraylink proposes to collect from electricity consumers through charges from 2018 to 2023.
Invitation for submissions
Interested parties are invited to make submissions on the regulatory proposals by the close of business on 12 May 2017.
The AER prefers that all submissions be publicly available to facilitate an informed and transparent consultative process. The AER will treat submissions as public documents unless otherwise requested. Parties wishing to submit confidential information are requested to:
- clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim
- provide a non-confidential version of the submission in a form suitable for publication.

Public forums
We are holding public forums on these regulatory proposals. The TransGrid public forum will be held in Sydney on 11 April 2017. The Murraylink public forum will be held in Adelaide on 10 April 2017. We intend to publish an issues paper on these regulatory proposals prior to the public forums. The issues papers and public forum agendas will be available on our website prior to the public forums.
