The AER is pleased to advise that we have appointed four in-house technical advisors to provide us with greater industry expertise, particularly in power system engineering. The new technical advisor group was established in late October 2013 in time for the upcoming network pricing reviews. They bring a wealth of knowledge and over 100 years of combined industry experience to the AER.
The technical advisors complement the internal expertise we have already developed. They will improve our use of external consultants and help implement new regulatory approaches developed under the Better Regulation program. Further, the technical advisors will enhance the way in which the AER engages with network businesses and other stakeholders.
