Retail exemptions

On 12 May 2023 the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved GVSC Pty Limited's application for an individual exemption from the requirement to hold a retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law for Glenrose Village Shopping Centre at 56-58 Glen Street, Belrose NSW 2085.

On 18 April 2023 the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved QIC Limited as trustee for the QIC Castle Towers Trust's (QIC) application for an individual exemption from the requirement to hold a retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law for Castle Towers Shopping Centre, 6-14 Castle Street, Castle Hill NSW 2154.

The Registrant’s exemption from the requirement to register as a network service provider and the operation of Chapter 5 of the NER has now come into effect. The exemption was granted under clause 2.5.1 of the NER in accordance with the AER’s Electricity NSP Registration Exemption Guideline (Network Exemption Guideline), and is subject to a number of conditions.
