The intent of the annual updates is to provide stakeholders with information on rate of return data changes since the publication of the most recent Instrument.

The Pipeline Access Dispute Guide is intended to provide guidance about the access dispute resolution process under the NGL and NGR.

The AER determines network tariff structures and tariff levels for gas distribution networks in NSW, Victoria, SA and the ACT.

The gas pipeline information disclosure guidelines, price reporting guidelines and accompanying templates are required under the new Part 10 & 18A of the NGR.

On 28 September 2023, the AER published guidance on the amended national energy objectives. This guidance is supported by an explanatory statement.

The AER has reviewed and refined its incentive schemes and guidelines that apply to regulated electricity and gas networks.

The Rate of Return Instrument (the Instrument) sets out the approach by which we will estimate the rate of return, and comprises the return on debt and the return on equity, as well as the value of imputation credits. We publish a new Instrument every 4 years that will bind all regulatory determinations in the subsequent 4 years.
