As part of its 2009 distribution determination for the NSW electricity distribution network service providers (DNSPs) the AER adopted IPART’s D-factor scheme. The scheme allows the NSW DNSPs to recover costs and foregone revenues associated with demand management projects.
Essential Energy (previously Country Energy) did not provide D-factor submissions for 2009-10.
The approved D-factors are inputs into the pricing proposals to be submitted by the NSW DNSPs to the AER by 1 May each year.
