On 20 October 2022, the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) released a consultation paper for the review of Protections for consumers of DER. The purpose of this consultation paper is to seek input from stakeholders about whether further consumer protections for CER users are needed to protect consumers as they take part in Victoria's energy transition. DELWP is also seeking feedback on the potential risks to users of CER and areas for potential reform to ensure users of CER in Victoria have sufficient protections.
